Had an incredible day on Wheeler Friday. Cranking ledges and flats later in the day produced good largemouth numbers and had a 20" kicker fish. (Haven't caught enough that size lately to "guestimate" the weight. ) Throwing a Normans Middle N in Pearl, also caught some on Blue/Chrome traps. Good luck

Sorry, must have been someone else. Me and my partner fished from cowford down to lucy's today. Best (5) would have been in the 18-20lb range. Had a smallmouth right at 6lbs and a big largemouth around 5 1/2lb. Those fish came on back to back casts. I guess a blind hog can find a ACORN after all!!
Almost forgot, I'm in a red/white procraft with 225xs.
Good deal. Going back tomorrow with my partner. He says he's gotta get his boat out before it dry rots.

Well, went back Saturday and, you should have been here yesterday.We didn't do nearly as well. Tough bite for us anyway. Some days you're the windshield, some days you're the bug.
That was me you saw in white/black Triton 197MAG aluminum boat. I had an awesome day on that point too (for the last 30 years!) The day you caught those 2 back/back I had some out of town clients with me that I had promised a catfish trip! I was out in the swift water. Man, that point was a well-kept secret for about 25 years. Now every boat on the lake stops there. I try to stay away from it on weekends. Too much BS goes on there. Talk at me next time you see me. Good to talk to you that day. I've always heard about that spot but never really spent the time to look up in that area. You're right about the pressure, I was down there this Sat. in a small local T that started at lunch. When I got up there I counted 7 boats all fishing the same area.I didn't stay long. I guess I will just do the same and save it for the week days or when my son can go with me. That's why I stopped fishing up in that area to begin with.
