    Pickwick

Went yesterday (Tuesday) and the bass were wide open. We caught over 50 bass and only fished about 4 or 5 hrs. Water temp was 81.

Pickwick is hot, numbers wise anyway. Caught many fish from 1 to 2.5 pounds Oct. 4. Top water was the most successful method that I tried. Temp 76 to 78 degrees. If you want to have some quick fun, that's a great place to go. My 6 year old and I are going next weekend, Lord willing, and hope to hone his skills. (He's already better than me)

Did real good around Koger Island grass beds throwing topwater on grass edge. Also down the lake a bit on humps. Schoolies were everywhere. Not big, but fun for the kids (and me). My 6 year old loves it.

gonna be fishing the wildcard tournament down there oct 31-nov 1st. was planning on practicing one day on wilson. tournament is out of mcfarland park. heard that if your locking from pickwick to wilson right below the dam is a bit dangerous. just a rumor or is it pretty rough? thanks, drew.

in the canal where you go to lock through, it's perfectly safe.........however, directly downstream from the turbines........DIFFERENT STORY

do not try it if you don't know where the rock are

No there is no problem locking there is a canal from Mc Farland to the dam. The danger is on the main river running up to the dam. There is alot of rocks under the water.
