I had the privilege to fish Neely Henry with an 8 year old boy named Timothy Sat. We fished in the Fishers of Men “Legacy Trail”. The tournament was first class and the day was a blast. After setting through 2 thunderstorms waiting for blast off, we finally blasted off into a driving rain. We ran 8 miles to the first stop and Timothy looked like a wet rat as we came off plane. I was expecting him to say I am cold take me back to the truck but the first words out of his mouth were “man that was fun” he loved the speed and rain. We caught around 20 fish during the day but the fish were really small. We had to measure every fish to get 5 keepers in the boat. We did catch one good fish that weighed about 21/2 pounds which Timothy promptly named “Jimbo”. We spent the rest of the day trying to catch some more Jimbo’s but we could do no better than finish in 4th place. Most of our fish were on spinner bait, jig, lizard and a frog. I sure enjoyed fishing with Timothy it had been a long time since someone acted like a worm in my boat and I love the fact that even through we did not win Timothy just loved being out there. If you can you need to fish one of these Legacy tournaments. The next one for us is at Guntersville. “Ain’t God Good” Preacher
