Ok guys/gals, I've got a friend going to Guntersville this Friday - Sunday. He is not a tournament fisherman. Just him and a couple of family members are coming down to fish.
I'm not asking for your honey holes just some ideas on places for them to try and what they need to be throwing.

Rattletraps and jerkbaits on main river in anywhere from 4-10'. I've got a tournament there this weekend and will be throwing only these two baits until my arms fall off.
Traps 3/4oz. and jerkbaits on the back side of the river channel. These fish are moving up and staging so where you find one there should be more in the area. Look for the outside edge of the grass and also bald spots on top of the humps. Fish the grass in 5' to 8' of water. Stay away from straight run backs. Also looks for red clay banks or points close or in deep water.
