Just got this one poured, out of the mold and powdercoated with a black chrome copper head. The skirt is one I call sunburned craw and is a rust, whiskey, burnt orange and amber pumpkin pattern. The red is not really as bright as picture makes it look. Its almost a faded red. I used a 5/0 hook on it as well. This is a 1/2oz model. Not perfect but I like it.
The head looks like a crackle finish! How did you do that?

It comes out that way. Look at http://www.fishingskirts.com at their paint. Simple to do.

Your jig looks great! If I were you, making stuff like that, I'd never buy a jig again. It looks as good as anything you could buy.

They have EXCELLENT customer service too and fast shipping. I will admit I have not bought any aftermarket jigs in months now. Actually been selling my name brand stuff.
Nice work Mark...I use a powder paint from Eastwood Automotive called copper vein. It basically does a similar seperation like the BOSS paint but a much finer texture...the price is right too

There are a couple of jigs I still buy, but only because they have specific use and I like the guy who makes the baits!!

If I can do it anyone can. It looks even better in person as its textured too. I don't know if the stuff off their site is made by Pro Tec but it sure seems easier to use.
How durable do you think it'll be? Did you clear coat it, or just bake it?

Its been extremely durable on the few flipping heads I have used it one. I just bake it after I dip it.
