Fixing coating around thread on guide

I have a guide that the coating has chipped off. The guide and thread are both ok.

I just need to re-coat the threads to seal it and make it smooth over the threads. What are my options on what to use and how to do this?

Cabelas usually has flex coat epoxy. Mix it very accurately in a 1:1 ratio. Apply and grab six pack and rotate rod 180* every 5 min the first hour, 15 min the second and about every hour for five more hours. Will be ready to fish in 24hrs.

2 years ago I touched up some guide thread with clear finger nail polish, it still looks good.
