DickNite is a one part moisture cure and is very easy to use but will require at least 2 coats. And its not as durable as D2T. I une DN for touchup only. Oh and if your paint isnt completely dry, the DN will make it wrinkle.

I agree with Eric it's very easy to use (I spray it) and if you dont completly dry your paint it will wrinkle however with the D/N's solvent based clear I think it's tougher than devcon as it seems to penetrate the paint where as devcon forms a skin so to speak over a bait and if you get water intrusion it will delaminate where D/N'S wont.
Whats the deal with the shelf life Of Dick Nites?
Thats the only negative Ive read.
I use dick nite and like it better than dt2. I think it is more durable thar rhe dt2 also.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

It's moisture cured so in a nut shell as soon as you open the can it starts curing as air is getting to it, there are ways to slow it by keeping oxygen from getting to it.

Get the pint metal can. Turn it upside down and screw a 1/2 metal screw in it on the side bout half inch from top. When you need some, unscrew it and squeeze the can a little to get what you want. Then replace the screw. The DN will get in the threads and totally seal the can.

Do you do this when dipping lures or only for spraying?
Neither, I use a brush
Eric Gandy
I have used both and think that DN is way tougher as it burns into the paint. I use only one dip and no complaints. I forgot what it is called but I have some stuff they use for wood working that you spray into the jar after u use it and it keeps the stuff like new. Have had my jar for over a year now and no curing. BLOXYGEN is what it is. Just shoot it into the mason jar that you have poured the DN into and it will keep just like new forever.
Which Dick Nite's product do you use? I read somewhere a while back that he had 3 different clear coats. Not knowing anything about the stuff... I'm not sure what stuff to use. I've been to the website several times too... and it seems a bit confusing.
