    How do you guys/gals remove paint/coating from lures

    Sanding takes forever. Anyone have a quicker way

    I have heard of some using a rock tumbler with light abrasive. I use a scotch brite pad and just scuff, prime and paint.

    I used a razor blade to take the paint off of my Norman cranks. They put a crap load of clear on them. Then lightly sand them

    Most guys just rough up the paint on the baits they are painting with sand paper. Then they prime, paint and then put on the clear. If you are wanting to remove all of the old paint, the soda blaster will work great.

    harbor freight also sell a paint and rust eraser. it's simply an air brush that shoots a silica type abrasive. works great on lures on low pressure. around 30 bucks
