Why do people fish, some say people fish to get fish, this is obviously false
I have heard of some using a rock tumbler with light abrasive. I use a scotch brite pad and just scuff, prime and paint.

Soda Blast, rock tumblers
I used a razor blade to take the paint off of my Norman cranks. They put a crap load of clear on them. Then lightly sand them
The soda blaster will remove it quick!!
Thank you all for the advice
What is a soda blast?

Most guys just rough up the paint on the baits they are painting with sand paper. Then they prime, paint and then put on the clear. If you are wanting to remove all of the old paint, the soda blaster will work great.
harbor freight also sell a paint and rust eraser. it's simply an air brush that shoots a silica type abrasive. works great on lures on low pressure. around 30 bucks
