Can you convert a spinning rod to a casting rod without any problems. I would strip it all the way to to the bare blanl and start all over. I love the rod but hate to throw a spinning rod.

Don't see why not. I know a guy that has built a few casting rods on spinning blanks because they had the exact action, power he was looking for.

Absolutely. A blank doesn't know whether its a casting or spinning blank. Regardless of how it's built, the inherent properties will still be there whether the guides are on top or bottom of the blank.
