    Small Hair Jigs

I am looking for someone who makes high quality, compact custom hair jigs in a compact size. Most of the hair jigs I have found are too big.

    I need:
    - 1/8oz ball head
    - 1/0 hook size
    - less than 2" in total length
    - bear hair
    - hand tied w/ braid

I would like to see images before buying.

1/8oz is good but ball heads roll
Depending on manufacturer 2/0 light wire is best
Agree, us yankees can't get away with 4" 1/2oz hair jigs
Bear hair is the best for cold water hands down
Hand tied is great but for the hair braid is too thick, fly tying thread with head cement works best

I am working on the perfect hair jig myself after not being able to find one. Around here hair jigs have been made famous by Butch Ward. The issue I have with all the ones I can buy is weedguard and hook are usually crap. Fishing a early spring tournament and having a 4lb SM hooked on a size 2 bronze Eagle dull hook is nerve racking. I have found the perfect hook but am still working with different weedguards.

I can make them for you!
Munkin is right on the 1/0 hook, I would go for a 2/0 hook, also thread tying is the way to on hair.
Are you wanting them with, or without a weedguard?
I will send you a IM also

Here are a couple of hair jigs I made up
These were made on a Arkie head, with a twin wire weedguard
These were tied with Craft Hair, dont have a picture of a bear hair jig handy

    A close up
