    FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE

    2001 RAM FICHT 225

My schrader test port valve popped out of the gas line.
They want $225 for the whole assembly.
Can I just remove the tee and replace it with a two way connection?

Re: FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE (ChampioNman)

    Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I have a leak at my valve as well. I run a 1999 175hp Ficht engine.
I tried replacing the o ring on the outside of the valve were it slips into the tee. That only worked for a month or so, then started spraying fuel at the valve again. I was thinking of taking out the valve and running the fuel line direct as well. Just wondering why that would not work?
Seems to me the only use for the valve is to check the fuel pressure when having fuel problems. I'm sure my dealer could tap into the line if need be. Just wondering if anyone else has taken out their pressure valve?

    Thanks
