I didn't think that went into effect until January 1, 2012. I guess it's only a matter of time for all of us.
if a board sponsor were to substitute lead free solder would that fit the bill? just an idea
There used to be a product called environ metal or similar. It was lead free, but weighed a bit less... So you would need to pour a 3/8 oz size head to get 1/4 oz or similar... It was 17 times more expensive than lead back when I saw it.

just check abstracts last weak when a freind told me of this and the law is not until Jan 2012 and only effects weights under an once. I to am looking into what to do next year![]()
weights under 1oz and jig heads was the interruption on other boards.
spinner baits are OK but all lead heads less than 1oz are not.
Also it is 2012 but if your making or buying in bulk it is time to look.

Rangerrumps,
I have been pouring my own brush jigs and football jigs with tin/bismuth in prep for the new lead ban in MASS.
