I have a friend who just bought a boat with a 1999 70 hp on it. Would this be a carbed motor? We need to winterize it and was wondering if I should shoot some fogging oil into the carbs or is there something else we should do for storing the motor for the winter. We will fog the cylinders and check the lower unit.

Add Stabil Marine forumla to the fuel system and run it for about 30 mins to make sure the stuff has make it in the system. Shoot a can of fogger into the carbs and drain fill the LU. Pull the prop and check for fishing line. Coat the prop shaft with Triple guard grease as well as the trim rams and tilt rams, If you have a H20 gauge unplug the hose to it and let it drain same with the speedo.
