Ok, Ive been think about (for a hobby) building a few rods for myself, I have a nice space in the back of my office that I can use. Ive researched a few of the sites that sell the supplies and necessary tools, what do you all think, any helpful hints or suggestions would be appreciated. I know I can probably buy them for what i'll have in them but I need a project or two ...

If there is a rodbuilder that is near you, see if you can visit their shop and get some tips from them. The Mudhole catalog has building instructions in the front of it. The best website for rodbuilding is rodbuilding.org. Also check out swamplandtackle.com

Sorry about my lack of judgement and the forum, should have just went to bed, wife said I ordered another dehydraytor from qvc last night, dam that jerky looks good late at night..LOL
The annual St. Louis boat show is in two weeks, I will attend that and see what I need, but i am going to take the advise given and check out utube and swampland tackle..
