Well after a long day of fishing we started the run back to the landing and bout three miles away the motor just shut down...no alarm tones or anything it just lost all its power and turned off...it would still turn over but would never crank and left us stranded...luckily somebody saw us using the trolling motor to get in and towed us back before dark...Any ideas what may have caused this?

first thing i would do is a compression check!

Sounds like the power pack has gone out.

well it ended up being that all of the bolts had come out of the stator and it worked its way off the block and was touching the flywheeli have never heard of such a thing but i dont think it was hurt too bad and will be put on...i think lock tite will be used this time
