    Johnson/Rude Tcw-3 Vs. BRP xd-50

    i know that the xd-50 is a synthedic blend. can the john/rude tcw-3 oil and the xd-50 oil be mixed together ?

    which is a better oil to use on my older engine ?

    Yes they can be mixed, however I would run the tank down low then mix. JMHO The XD-50 is a superior oil and will help the older engine. You still need to decarb every 100 hours or once a year, but you will see less carbon with the XD-50. It's cheaper if you find a dealer that deals in bulk and bring your own jug.
