    tying Station

I am trying to find some pictures and/or plans for a home made tying station I can use for holding all my supplies for tying jigs, and teaser trebles etc. I though maybe someone here as made their own.

I got an old sewing machine cabinet at a garage sale. It has 6 drawers and a couple have thread spool holders in them. Holds all my stuff, and when I'm not using it, it looks like just another desk.

For the top, I used some scrap wood, and built something that looks like this. Not nearly as nice as this guy's, but it keeps spills off the finish and keeps tools organized.

I got a jewelry armour (sp?) That stands next to my desk. It has 6 drawers and a top that flips up as well as doors on each side with hooks for necklaces. I use it for fly tying materials. The desk is just a relatively inexpensive computer desk from Wall Mart. You can also check out a dollar store for cheap plastic drawers and bins.

Here's a table top I made yesterday. Had a folding table with a broken leg. Used the top and legs to make it. 1/4" dowels for thread holders. The 2 "wings" swivel on the dowels and are removable. Got a clip-on light and magnifying glass for those. Nothing fancy, but it should work. Cost me 40 cents for the dowel and took about 1 hour to assemble.
