Etec 200HO problems

I have twins(200 HO)and was out yesterday,(in Ocean)running about 4200 rpm,and all of a sudden,port motor starts to drop in rpms,and then stalls out.....no alarms,no noise....I try to restart,and it only clicks,will not turn over....so now I just idle in on one.

I have a call to my mechanic,who will probably have to pull my boat,and transport,at my expense.
I have had problems in the past with injectors,and the older type plugs,on the other motor(2 new injectors),and have switched over to the iridium,when they came out...
This morning,I checked fuel filters (2 on each side)one on motor,and one in boat,all 10 micron,and they are clean,as I changed them about 2 months ago,and do so twice a year.
Has anyone heard of these type problems,and what could I check in the mean time?

First thing I would check would be compression.

Also I am wondering how warranty will handle this...I have 7 yr,non-declining,but I am out of factory warranty,and will have to deal with secondary,I believe it is the FPC insurance.....???
I cant afford any big surprises,right now.
