Howdy y'all! Haven't had a chance to post much, but just looking through stuff that's been posted recently you all have been busy. Me too. Here are a few that I have done recently:
A couple poppers in a Baby Bass pattern. I am getting better at tying those feather tails.
A new pattern called Golden Gill
This one you all have seen before, but just wanted to show it again. It has been producing strikes like crazy. It is by far the most fish-getting pattern I paint. I have a whole box in my tackle bag devoted to this color. I call it Tennessee Shad. I know others paint patterns called that that look different. I have based this pattern on direct observation of the forage here in East Tn., and brother it works. A buddy of mine caught a 30lb flathead on a Petey I painted for him in this pattern. Wasn't exactly what he was going for, lol, but he sure had a hoot reeling it in!
A buddy of mine makes spinner baits. I trade him paints on the heads and he gives me back finished baits. This is one I did for him recently, including the blades.
Hope you all are getting some in the boat.
