I was just wondering how you guys paint your big spinnerbaits. I have been dippin mine in regular powdercoat paint but it gets hard to dip them in a bowl of some kind to get the paint to come out even. Have you guys ot any other methods.

The problem I had was getting that much lead hot enough to completely cover the bait. For small baits I use one of those grill lighters but for the bigger baits I like a butane crack torch.

I found out last night the best thing to use is a heat gun. I bought a $25 heat gun at Wal-Mart and it suprised me at how good it worked. The thing that is killing me is I have to hold the lead over a bowl and pour the paint on. I was just wondering if there was a easier way to get the paint on.
I have a fluid bed and if you plan on powderpainting a lot I highly recommend one.

Any small container that is deep enough will work. I use the small 2oz jars with no problem. Just keep the powder loose.
