    abrasive tape

    I was looking at the abrasive tape from acidrod and was wondering if anyone has used this to make there own reamers if so what did you think about it? Thanks.

    I haven't used the adhesive tape. I don't even glue my sandpaper to my reamer. I bought a bunch of sanding belts at the rod expo a couple years ago. Take a strip about 3/4-1" wide and tape it to the the skinny part of the reamer. Wrap it spiraling down the reamer as tight as you can leaving 1/4" gaps between the wraps and tape it on the bottom. I have not had it come loose yet and it it easy to change.

    I went to Harbor Freight and got a set of rat tail files...you can even put them in your cordless drill and use them that way!
