St. Croix 7'11" Flipping Blank Purposes

Guys i have a chance to pick up a 7'11'' St. Croix Legend Extreme/Elite Blank for a great price!

The rod is a heavy power, mod/fast action. It is/was designed for flipping. Its rated for a 1/2 to 2 ounce lure.

I throw a c-rig with a 1 ounce sinker, 2 beads, and the plastic and hook below.

Will this rod be too stiff? I need maximum casting distance and maximum hook setting ability from long range and deep water. Is the tip light enough to load enough to really chuck a c-rig out there?

How will the action of this rod be since its a mod/fast? Will it work well for this application?

I had this posted a few days ago, but it got deleted when the website moved.

Sounds like a good choice to me because its a mod/fast action. I should load up pretty well compared to a fast or ex fast.
