    A few newb rod questions

Ive got a few rods im gonna build they will be my first standard bass rods

    They are all rainshadows 1 822.5rx7 3 7' m glass i think 843's

What combo of guides sizes should i use

what sz reel seats will be best

also if I use no foregrip and just a alum winding check is there any particular that works best

I know the rainshadow site has all the good stuff listed is there a catalog where they sell it because I see no way to order on there site

That's your call - but personally I would use micro guides.

If you are using exposed blank, you will want to size the seats to the blank. That size will be the outside diameter of the blank where you want the seat to sit. You may end up in between seat size, so go a size down and ream the seat out.

I'm a big fan of the Fuji checks. Swampland Tackle and Bingham both have them. Swampland can set you up with Batson guides also.

They are basically a manufacturer/distributor (they don't really make anything - everything is contracted out) You have to buy from a Swampland, Fishsticks, etc

    Hope it helps.
