    reel seat problem

    just got a abu vendetta on a trade and its reel seat is lose at the top were the threads are it shifts side to side not up and down the blank...is there any remady for this?

    well I don't have a rod but I would see if there is a gap in the seat and the rod....see if you can get some glue like Goop in there. I doubt it will be a longterm fix since you probably can't get enough glue on there to really get it set.

    I would think your best bet is to take it to a store and see if you can get it replaced

    If it's a split seat design you could drill a small hole in the seat and inject epoxy into it. Your best bet though is having it either covered by the warranty, or repaire by a competent custom builder in your area.
