    Jig Making ?

I dont really want to make my own jigs. I would just like to wire tie some of my existing jigs. How do I go about doing so, can I just push the rubber collar up a little then tie it? and where can I get some kind of tool to do so?Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, Chad V

I would get a vise first of all. I tie mine using thread, so I can't help you with the wire. I've never used it. I have retied some with the collars, I pull it down wrap the thread a few times and then I cut the collar off, and finish wrapping with thread.

I build jigs and wire tye them all. It's easy just get you some 22 ga. copper wire I use the stuff from a craft store. I usually wrap it around the head twice and then I use some aircraft pliers you can get them at mcmaster carr or maybe an automotive parts store. If your just doing a few I would just use needle nose pliers. Pull the wire ends tight with the pliers and twist, you will be able to tell (most of the time) before it breaks. (Pulling them tight to begin with is a big key.)
Cut off the tag end about 1/4" and bend over ad your done. If the jigs you have still have the rubber collars on them just put the wire around the jig head make a wrap or two after it is pulled up tight cut off the rubber collar.
