What is a fluid bed? where can I get one and can it be built? Please don't tell me it's a water bed that you sleep on.

A very low air flow from the aquarium pump suspends the powder to create a "dry fluid". When you dip your jig, it makes the coat very thin and even. No more runs or drips when you cure them. Tackle underground has plans to make your own. I've got one I'm working on that will look similar to the one above. If I ever get motivated to finish, I'll post pics and directions.

I borrowed my buddy's that he got from TJ's tackle. VERY easy to make with an aquarium pump, air valve, 3" union, 3" plug. The cups would be easist to just get from TJ's, because the fritted disc bottom in them are kinda hard to come by. You could probably even get by with 2" PVC parts, for which TJ's sells cups for.
Seems to work pretty good on some jigs I coated last week.

Its a fritted disc of some type. I looked up some of the material in my lab supply catalogs and it is EXPENSIVE! Your best bet is to buy the cups premade from TJ's Tackle, they're cheap($5, I think).
