    Best "Glue"

What is the best "glue" for use on reel seats and grips?
I want to start on my first rod and value all opinions!

Rod Bond Great bond and stays flexible (which is VERY important with rods).

I agree with Rod Bond, also it's really easy to work with...it has a paste like consistency...see attached link

Awesome! I am so excited to build my first rod!
I know it will be a glue filled mess but it will be my own!

rod bond is easy to work with since it has the consistency of peanut butter (no runs, drips etc). It also cleans up easily with a little rubbing alcohol and a paper towel... so it shouldn't be a mess.

    Re: Best "Glue" (nektarios)

Gudebrod probably has the best selection of colors. Pac Bay thread is really good and so is the Fishhawk brand but they don't have the color selection that gudebrod has. If you want the brightest colors get the nylon in whatever color you want and then use Color Preserver on it after they're wrapped. The NCP version of thread just isn't as bright as the nylon's but if you don't use CP on it the lighter colors with turn translucent. There's a lot of thread out there and they are all good threads you just need to figure out which one has YOUR color.

When you say colour protector...that is to prtect the colour and seal the threads? How many coats? Is epoxy applied after the CP?
