Glueing in weed guard

Just started making jigs and would like to know the best way to glue in the weed guard

I mold as normal, paint them without the weedguard in and actually cure them too. Then I take the right size drill bit and hand turn it in the weedguard hole to clean it out. then dip the weedguard in epoxy and stick it in.

I use a fast drying 2 part epoxy before I paint them, I use nail polish for paint, drys fast, very hard, cheap at Wal Mart if you can put up with the strange looks the clerks give you
