Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
is it an exposed blank reel seat? sorry, caras in my collection
I'm not sure what reel seat it is, but give this a try. At the juncture of the cork and back of the reel seat, use an 1/8" drill bit and angle it at 45', so that it goes beneath the back of the reel seat. There is usually a cavity beneath that will hold some glue. I have a hand device for drill bit...don't drill into the blank.
Once you have opened a small hole, align the reel seat with the guides. Now...use the regular super glue...not the gel...and insert the tip into the hole. Squirt the glue into the cavity. Have an alcohol saturated paper towel handy, as it will usually run out the exposed blank section, etc. That is a good thing as you are bonding the reel seat to more of the blank. I takes just a bit for it to set up. If you want, get some oak colored wood putty, as it should come the closest to matching the color of the cork when plugging the hole.
You should be ready to go fishing. There is another way, but it involves taking stuff off your rod blank...and I'm sure that you don't want to go there.
Good luck. Give me a holler if you have questions.
