Hey George or any other builders

am i the only one having trouble with color preserver ive tried several different types and they all turn them dark. i was using gudebrod 811 for a long time but they changed the formula now it sucks to. does anyone know of anything that works now.

Absolutely! You need to order some of Andy Dear's new color preserver called Chromaseal. I've been very pleased with it. Make sure that you follow the directions and don't thin it. Apply two coats then let it dry for 24 hours before you apply the finish. If you haven't used Threadmaster expoxy finish yet, you owe it to yourself to do that.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Good luck......George

George is right on. Chromaseal is the only CP I know of that will not darken threads. Your other option would be to use NCP thread. The colors won't be quite as brite, but they will look the same after finish.

I purchase mine from Anglers Workshop. Mudhole carries it, too.
