These are not the same thing, but a company called Bett's makes a carolina floater that works. I peg these in front of weights backwards to make a popper out of a trick worm. They also work great for keeping baits above algae and moss.

Thanks BGF, I know about the Bett's floats. The ones I have pictured are more egged shaped and smaller than the betts. These came from a boat bought with all the guys tackle included, just can't seem to find them anywhere to get more. Not really keen on the betts, but thanks.
You should chekc out the Naked Bait Co. slip floats. that go right in front of your C-Rigged baits, come in either black or chartruese, and best of all, enable you to add a skirt in front of the baits for added attraction! If I had to make a guess... I would bet they are marketed for walleye fisherman. I have some that are similar made by Lindy that are in the front of worm harnesses. Of course mine are chartruese and orange.
