What would be the best way to permanently paint a buzzbait blade?

Well, you could use some of the various dip-dyes to get the color you want, or you could spray it and then spray a clear coat over it. Check at http://www.tackleunderground.com those guys can probably recommend specific brands of paint and clear.
I use a light powder coat. I will try and post pics. It works great.

Would powder coat have a shine to it?
I'm wanting to experiment with some buzzbait blades that only come in a silver color, and I'd like them to be gold...
What blades are you looking for in gold? I have powdercoated spinnerbait blades before but not in gold. I do know where you can have them powdercoated just about any color imaginable but the minimum number is like 300 blades.

I haven't been able to find them in anything but silver...
...Just use a rattle can and coat them with Devcon 2 ton apoxy....they last a long time
The other day I picked up a can of Rustoleum(sp) in gold color at Wal-Mart...put two coats of it on a silver blade and then one clear coat...I'm not real good with a spray can, so the paint isn't perfectly even, but it looks good otherwise...don't know how the clear coat will hold up to water, but I'll try it out and see how it holds up
If this doesn't work I think I'll just see about getting some powder coated...
