go to rodguild.com and rodbuilding.org they both have forums there about rod building and you sign up, put a message on their bulletiin board. You could als o check out Cabela's they have some supplies and tools in their catalog.
Its very addictive...I have built rods for 20 years...Loomis to 15.00 blanks....I enjoy it alot...patience & good eye sight are a must ! Have went on & done alot of reel repairs & now pour my own plastic & it s all great ! The worst part about getting started is the initial cost of supplies, buy a very low cost wrapper & a few spools of thread prob size A thread for bass & spinning rods & keep it simple before you go overboard....A very nice site which has alot of suppliers on the left side of the forum is http://www.rodbuilding.org/list.php?2 ..... rod building can be as simple as you like or as complicated as you want ! the best way to get good prices on rod building stuff is get a wholesale account. If you have tax number or something similar, most rod building supply places will set you up with a wholesale account
