What is the best way to apply glitter to your crankbaits and are there certain types of glitter that work the best?

It depends on how you want the glitter on the bait.
If you want the entire bait to sparkle I use a ultra fine glitter and mix it into the epoxy top coat and the top coat like you normally would.
This will give a result much like the Norman glitter baits.
The glitter used for soft plastics work well.
The glitter in this bait is showing up as the white spots all over the bait. There is actually much more than that but its not visible unless you move the bait around.

Hey Bobby don't cut us short let's see that WHOLE bait, the colors look good!!![]()
I zoomed in trying to show the glitter... It wasnÂt as visible in the whole bait view.
Here is the entire bait KY521.

When I use glitter on my wraps on rods I just mix it into the epoxy and it comes out nice that way......................Also.................no special glitter is needed this way.............you can get many different colors at any of the craft supply stores out there! AC Moore, Michaels, JoAnn's.............just to name a few.................
To glitter just the top, i will go ahead and epoxy the entire bait, and then add glitter to the left over epoxy and just brush it on the top.

Bobby
How do you go about applying the topcoat(clearcoat). Do you spray with an airbrush or dip? By the way those are very nice baits-----good job.
Thanks
