Got a deal yesterday and want to modify it...

Was at a local drug chainstore yesterday and noticed that they had some discontinued rods bundled up and asked the manager what they had planned for them. He said that if I wanted since we are regulars he would give me any two rods I wanted for $5 apiece. Me not willing to pass up much for $5 bucks I started digging through the bundle.
I found two Lamiglas 6'6" two piece spinning rods and felt very happy to walk out of there with two new rods.
Problem is there two piece. I don't have any and don't like to fish with two piece rods.
Question: Is there a product like a rod epoxy that I could permanetly join them together with? They are graphite rods and are lightweight and they will be "back-up, maybe dropshot type rods in my locker of rods."
    Thanks guys

    Bob,
You can epoxy the two pieces together but its not something I would do these days.
When is the last time you fished a two piece rod? These days they make some pretty nice two piece blanks unlike years past................Before you go gluing it give it a tryout.

    Anytime Sir!

One thing I can add.................a good practice to get into when putting together a newer two piece rod is to slide the top piece on with the guides at a 90* angle from where they need to be and then simply turn them to the correct position and this will lock the two pieces together so that you wont be casting the upper half of the rod into the lake!!

That throwing the upper piece is what I hated about using them before....I will try your trick.
