A question for Russ

Hello Russ,

Are you familiar with the All Star SBR1? It is the Zell Roland 6'4" spinnerbait rod.

This is by far the best spinnerbait rod I have ever used. I believe the action was listed as a med light. The tip is fairly soft, but it has a strong butt. I guess you would rate as more moderate than fast. I've caught somewhere around 20 bass in the 7-9lb range on this rod and have NEVER lost a large fish on it. When you get a hit on this rod, the fish really suck down the spinnerbait, almost like a crankbait rod.

Do you think you can come up with something similar?

Yes, I realize that you cannot make an exact duplicate of the rod I have, and I realize that this will be far more expensive, but I cannot find another one of these rods.

Also, what would be your leadtime for building a rod? My wife's bugging me about ideas for X-mas, and thought this might make a nice present.

I have never had a rod custom made, I realize they cost but, they say you get what you pay for. What information would you need from me in order for you to quote me a price to have one made and shipped?
