best florocarbon for a spinning reel???

I am currently using Berkley 100% and love it on my baitcasters but Im getting excessive line twist and it doesnt seem to cast very smooth on my spinning rod...i love how tough the line is, just needing something a little more smoother and less memory...I noticed that Viscious has a new floro out called "Pro Elite", is it any good?...I usually use 8lb on my spinning gear and use it on alot of finesse applications, such as 1/8oz shakey heads, wacky rig, drop shot....whats best for my spinning reel?

Sunline Sniper is good stuff. It's alittle more expensive but lasts a long time. Alot of guys around here dropshot with the 5lb test, so the 8lb would work great for what you are using it for.

IMO, the 8 lb. Trilene is a little heavy for most spinning reels with light lures. Try the 6 lb. and don't get scared. It is .010 in diameter, which is as big as a lot of 8, in different brands. This is what I have been throwing for about 3 years.

I don't use fluorocarbon on my spinning reels anymore because of this same reason. I went to 10LB powerpro braid and add a fluoro leader with an alberto knot (modified albright) and I'm having great success.. Leader lenght depends on how I'm fishing, I have gone as long as 6ft down to 2ft...

    06 Modified 90 Opti
    80LB Terrova/I-Pilot
    6" CMC Jackplate

If you're gonna throw braid, why skimp on the lb test. When I'm throwing braid with a leader on my spinning rod, I throw 20-25lb braid with a 8-10lb flouro leader.

I just purchased some Stren Florocast, the 8lb test has a .010 diameter...it says smooth casting, virtually zero memory, 100% fluorocarbon...we'll see, im gonna try it out this weekend...Hopefully its as good as the box says,lol...it does feel really smooth and limp...

I throw BPS floro on all my spinning rods. I skip with 10lb with no problems

Good point, but, also remember that braid usually tests out quite a bit higher than its label strength...so I guess at some point its overkill and you are really only as strong as your leader/knot anyway (discounting abrasion issues, although the main line won't touch much).

If using straight FC I would use sniper I find it the best for handling on a spinning reel.
