Canyon Lake 2/7/2012: This bass was struggling on the surface yesterday so I checked it out. Both the bass and the perch were still alive but I could not save either. I had to use pliers to pull the perch apart so I could get it out of the mouth. I could not revive the bass enough for it to swim away...she was full of eggs, too. She sure tasted good for supper last night.
