    Suggestion on aftermarket split rings.

Have not had much of an issue in the past, but had one staightened out on a Paycheck Repo Man and have some others I need to swap out. Anybody got a brand that is small, strong, yet semi-flexible for easy use with the pliers? About all I can find around here is the Bass Pro brands..

Its not practical for all baits, but for bigger baits, Owner Hyperwires are the best I have used. Get you a pair of split ring pliers and you'll be good to go.

Should have been more clear--for hooks not lips/noses...

    Steve,

Look in the Saltwater section at Bass Pro. They have some really heavy duty ones that I use on most of my swimbait. topwater and crankbaits. I think it is "Offshore Angler" brand. They come in all sizes too.

A bit pricey but worth the peace of mind for me.
