    Round Split Rings vs. Oval Split Rings

    Anyone find any advantages/ disadvantages with round split rings vs. the oval ones?

    Knots stay out of the splits on oval rings.

    Oval rings are for tying to, you don't use them on your hooks.

    I replace the stock tie on rings on traps with them sometimes. Seems to give them a tighter wiggle.
