when using a snap with cranks, do you eliminate the split ring?

I try too, don't know if its right or wrong, but I think it eliminates a little leverage the fish has against the bill of the bait.

Bill Norman Speed Clips !! leave the split ring on

take the split ring off except on some baits like shad rap were snap wont fit through line tie. those norman speed clips stink on jerk baits or spook type baits, always foul up somehow, sometimes come undone.

I take the split rings off when I put on a snap. I love the Norman speed clips. One of these days, all 300 cranks will wear them.
