1989 Johnson GT150 - continuos alarm upon startup (key turn on)

A soon as I turn key on, alarm sounds (continuous)-Any ideas, plenty of gas and oil. I had the boat from march '90 'til July 2006, never had this problem-Since then father in law has had it and taken it out "a couple of times"-He starts it semi regularly, but first time this alarm has gone off-Note: Started it yesterday, no problem. Any help would be appreciated-He is trying sell it, but won't with problem.
Will Take it to mechanic if have to (Wayne @ B&P Marine , very capable).

Very hard to trouble shoot if it's not doing it. The horn sounds when it is grounded, check all wires that are brown on the motor to make sure none of them are grounded. Is the control box built in or exterior box?

Check the Vacuum Switch assembly.

Just rememberd, sometimes those chirp circuits would go bad in the horn, what ever stops the horn from sounding when you turn on the key would go bad.

Thanks guys-In Laws sold the boat, They started it the next day, NO alarm, go figure.
