UV Light and Lure Topcoat

I've tried to find out if UV finishes, coatings, and lures are for real, or just another gimick. Seems some folks like the UV stuff and feel it aids in catching more fish while some think it just another opportunity to catch more fisherman. I can't find a lot of info. Any thoughts?

There is a article in this past edition of BassTimes (page 10) talking about this very thing. Talks to Lee Sisson and how he swears by it. Especially in low light or muddy conditions. Good article, never tried it but I am going to try it.
