    Tube weights

Had a brief talk with another bass fisherman at the launch the other day and somehow got on the topic of tube weights.

He gave me one of his weights to let me see how easy it was to hook the weight inside the tube and he was right. At the time I thought nothing of it I would simply hit my local tackle shop and pick some up right??? NOOOO!!

I have looked everywhere and anywhere and cannot find them, online, search engines, you name it I tried it.

The lead was flat with a hole in the end, almost like a small piece of ribbon with a hole punched in the end, it had a number 2 stamped on it and did not appear to be homemade. Dimensions were approximately about 1/16" x 1/4" x 3/4"

Has anybody seen anything like this, have a link or even a suggestion where to look?

    Re: Tube weights (rangerman1963)

'ya, I have been using the Lindy's but was amazed at how user friendly it was being able to squeeze the tube and feel the orientation because of it being flat unlike the Lindy that tends to rotate as I drop it in the tube.

Considering buying a blank mold and clamping it in the mill to design and build my own if needed (last resort of course).

I would rather place an order than go through the hassle of making my own but a guys gotta' do what he gotta' do right??!!

This should get you there. Click the down arrow for selection of with or without rattles and different weights.

I have used these, and they seem similar to what you are describing...

Really close, those look like a square version of the Lindy's. What he gave me was flat. In fact I am going to head out to the boat right now and see if by chance it is still in there. If so I will post a pic.

Here are a couple pics off my phone, tried to get close and they got blurry. Hope they are still viewable enough to see what I mean.
