I was just thinking today of what might be a very unconventional new rig to try. Here is what I am going to try, it never hurts to experiment a bit. I though it might be interesting to try doing a drop shot rig and use a spot remover with a finesse instead of a line shot about 2 feet below the line hook. This would give you two baits at two depths maybe even use two different worms....please give your thoughts or opinions.
I've done that before. Never stayed with it though. You catch a few fish doing that, but it changes the fall rate of the drop shot so drasticlly that I just didn't like it. I do a lot of vertical drop shotting. Rate of fall is so important when you're fishing suspended fish sitting over deep water.

I have drop shot with a finesse tube as my bottom bait and my regular D/S bait up about 18". It does work but I have not caught anything big on it.
I have never had a double hook up either but I have caught smallies on either the top or bottom one right after each other.
