A jigging spoon would be one way. A drop shot, even a jig could be productive.

+1 I was thinking drop shot too. You don't have the let it go all the way to the bottom. You can watch it on the depth finder to stop it at the same depth as the fish.

Small profile jig with combo of silicone strand and hair with a small trailer. Vertical jig it a the level of the smallies. It will not hang up and if Kentucky bass are around, they will attack it also. Old but excellent tactic not used much anymore.
Another tactic is a blugill colored swim jig. Joey Watts at Flatlands Custom Tackle makes a great swim jig.

Blugill color jig has enough color to be seen at the depth and water color you stated. Vertical jig the standard jig and cast and swim the swim jig. Use a single tail grub on the swim jig. Thing about that amount of timber is you want to spend your time fishing and not trying to retrieve lures. JMO

Slow roll a big spinnerbait through the tree tops. Another old tactic for fishing tree tops. Use a bluegill colored bait if feel matching forage is important.
If you can see the bass on your graph, I like the jigging spoon idea. Spoons are heavy enough you can usually shake them loose pretty quick if you happen to snag a tree.
    Let us know what works.
