Most times the Sync and Link would not need to be adjusted, but the wide open timing should have been checked.....What problem are you having?

The orange wax is called glyptol (sp) and indicates to the tech that the timing mark has been messed with. CM

no prob;ems , just noticed the glytol and was wondering if the tech who installed the powerhead applied this and if it needed to be re-adjusted after break in. oh by the way its sucking the bottom out of the gas tank.......

That stuff is applied at the factory...........if your motor is sucking the bottom out of the fuel tank then it is most likely running right.
