I run Seafoam in every tank but was thinking about adding Marine Formula Stabil. I like Seafoam but it does not say anything about protecting your engine from ethanol that is in fuel.
I run Amsoil which is a 100% pure Syenthic. If my memory is correct when I done some research on 100% syenthic 2 stroke oil regardless of the brand I found that they are an ash less formula that does not promote carbon build up...note the word promote...In my opinion that means it is possible but not likely to happen. With Seafoam I get a fuel stabilizer and fight carbon build up but...NO ethanol protection.
There is some ethanol fuel in my area. I buy 90% of my fuel at the same Speedway station. I asked 3 different employees if speedway had ethanol fuel and got 3 different answers a yes a no and sometimes pending on where the load was shipped from.
I think I need a fuel treatment that will protect against ethanol, carbon build up and also stabilize/keep my fuel fresh in the slow/off season. What is your opinion... Will it hurt to run both at the same time. If you think it will be OK what dosage would you recommend for each additive. I was thinking 1 oz Marine Stabil to 10 gallon gas just like the bottle recommends. Plus 3 oz Seafoam to every 10 gallons which is less than recommended. I don't want to over do it with fuel additives and cause problems.
