If you've had problems with your fluorocarbon breaking with the palamor knot then this one will help, i have tied it on braid but haven't tested it in the field (but appears to hold up fine)
1) take the line from the rod the (main line) and run it through the hook eye
2) then take the line you just ran through the hook eye and make a loop
3) take the loop you made on the end side of the line and twist it around the main line from your rod 3 times
4) then take the end of the line and run it through the loop, then back through the gap you just made below ( this is just like a trilene knot move )
5) wet the line
6) finally, pull the line from the main, rod end until you hear a pop
All I fish is Fluorocarbon and I won't tie another knot after seeing this one work so well. I don't know if someone already named this knot but its all i'll use. I just thought I would pass this along, James.
