I seem to have a soft spot for soft plastics. For my spares in the house, I can store them pretty easy, but am having trouble keeping them organized on the boat. It is fairly common for me to 40 - 60 bags with me, although I am trying to trim it down a bit. I doubt however, that I will get much below 35, and certainly will have trouble keeping it down that far. At the current, I have them just thrown in a hatch by themselves. But, even when I have them spread out, and can move them around easy, it is hard to find the bag I want with 59 others in there.
Though my boat has a lot of storage for its size, it still isn't the biggest boat around, so space is a bit limited. I have considered making something like the cooks system, but the only problem is, being that my boat is a 15 foot aluminum jon, my hatches are only 12 - 13 inches deep at the most, so they would take up too much space in my rod locker and such. I am thinking that bins are the way to go. Most of the worms I use are 6 - 10 inch, and most jig trailers and such seem to be of a similar dimension. I would like to find a way where I could sort all my finesse worms, lizards, senkos, jig trailers, etc out by them selves. Given that a under lid hanging system is out, at least for now, what method would best suite me?
