How do y'all store your daggum plastics?

I seem to have a soft spot for soft plastics. For my spares in the house, I can store them pretty easy, but am having trouble keeping them organized on the boat. It is fairly common for me to 40 - 60 bags with me, although I am trying to trim it down a bit. I doubt however, that I will get much below 35, and certainly will have trouble keeping it down that far. At the current, I have them just thrown in a hatch by themselves. But, even when I have them spread out, and can move them around easy, it is hard to find the bag I want with 59 others in there.

Though my boat has a lot of storage for its size, it still isn't the biggest boat around, so space is a bit limited. I have considered making something like the cooks system, but the only problem is, being that my boat is a 15 foot aluminum jon, my hatches are only 12 - 13 inches deep at the most, so they would take up too much space in my rod locker and such. I am thinking that bins are the way to go. Most of the worms I use are 6 - 10 inch, and most jig trailers and such seem to be of a similar dimension. I would like to find a way where I could sort all my finesse worms, lizards, senkos, jig trailers, etc out by them selves. Given that a under lid hanging system is out, at least for now, what method would best suite me?

I use a worm bag from BPS. I have two double sided bags they hold around 30 or 40 bags each. I think it comes with 10 or 20 but I bought extra ziploc bags. I keep the worms in the original bag and put them in the BPS ziploc bags that come with it.

i use the soft worm bags similar to the above pic. on each handle i put a luggage type tag labeled with exactly what is in each side or bag. mine are organized by type only (brush hog, frog, worm, etc.) that way i know which bag to dig into. also, the lure types that you will most regularly use go in one, maybe two bags and remain close at hand. i don't waiste a lot of time searching for a plastic. kaizenlike.

I use Plano 3700 and just don't use the dividers. You can get like 5-6 bags per row. I use a magic marker and mark each box.......worms, lizards, tubes, straight worms, creatures, etc.

I went to walmart and bought a bunch of rubbermaid shoe boxes (the no name brands are about $1). They are perfect for holding plastics. I just label them accordingly and set them in one of my rod lockers.

Packs of worms/lizards/etc...fit perfectly in there. Trick works have to be turned the other way in the box though due to their length.

I use to use plastic bags, but the shoe booxes work much better for me.

I keep about 3-5 baits of each style, in a zip-loc bag, up on deck. Then the rest of the soft plastics in their original bags in a storage compartment, in plano 3600's. (off the deck, and outta the way)
    -
Each 3600 is labeled by category. Creature baits, tubes, wacky worms, finesse worms, etc.
    -
That way, the deck's not cluttered with 'every-single-piece-of-tackle', and if the fish are hitting a particular style/color; I just jump into a storage compartment, and pull out the necessary supply.

I use both Plano 3600s and Rubbermaid food storage containers. They stack nice and I label the lids.

i'm with you on having too many plastics! i have way too many on board at any given time. i just keep mine in gallon zip lock bags by type. when i prepare for a trip, i will generally know what i plan on throwing and drop a few of each in a quart sized zip lock. i'll reach for that bag as i go along. once i find a pattern of sorts, i will add to the quart bag.

Falcon bags and keep the plastics in their original bags. Then I mark the bags with a sharpie so I know what's in each bag.
